I had my first episode of MdDS when I was 20 years old, after a car trip to our holiday house 1 hour from home (I’d travelled on this same road since I was a child, so puzzled as to why it happened in this instance).  The symptoms were relatively mild and lasted for about a month, but I really didn’t pay much attention to it and thought it was just part of the bad anxiety/panic attacks I had been suffering for the year leading up to it.   I didn’t experience any symptoms again for at least a year after that.  I can’t recall exactly when they returned, as I had a bad episode of the flu in September that year, but can’t specifically remember if the MdDS returned before or after the virus.  (more…)

How To Treat Vertigo

Vertigo is a disease which manifests sudden postural imbalance and dizziness. The person may suddenly feel the symptoms but will get back to their normal state after the episode of vertigo. However vertigo is a serious disease as it increases the risk factor for some of the serious disorders such as strokes and tumors. There are different types of vertigo such as peripheral vertigo, objective vertigo and central vertigo, hence, the treatment of the vertigo is a necessity as it may lead to severe imbalance problems.

Dizziness- When the Labyrinth Loses Balance

Dizziness can be a common dysfunction of the human immune system. Dizziness is characterized by several symptoms. The most common sign of dizziness is the sense of the surrounding world going round even as one stands or sits at one place. This type of neurological dizziness is quite different from the dizziness one feels after riding a merry-go-round, for instance. The latter is a forced effect while the former is a disease that needs prompt attention of the physician.
